Bushland Beach Tavern
For quintessential North Queensland tucker, you cannot go past Bushland Beach Tavern with front row seats overlooking the expansive park and beach together with all your favourite menu options including the classic chicken schnitzel and panfried barramundi.

Peggy Banfield Park
What’s not to love about the vast 15 hectare Peggy Banfield Park! Located at the heart of the community, the park boasts two dog parks, a shaded children’s playground, undercover BBQ facilities, football fields, and netball courts, in addition to the pre-established skatepark and sporting centre. The second stage of the multi-million dollar redevelopment delivered permanent shade structures, trees and gardens, a multipurpose oval, additional playing fields, an inclusive playground, and an amenities block.
Hit your local Bushland Beach Markets on the first and third Sunday of every month for fresh produce and local crafts.
For a large selection along with live music, fashion and food trucks make the short trip to the Cotters Markets in central Townsville each Sunday from 8:30am to 1pm.
Bushland Beach Takeaway
You won't need to travel far for the best fish and chips in the region. The family-run Bushland Beach Convenience and Takeaway is all about great service, fresh seafood and the most tasty chips you have ever eaten.

The Stoney Creek boat ramp gives you direct access to Halifax Bay and the nearby islands via the Bohle River.
